Help a Reporter Out (HARO) Website

Help a Reporter Out (HARO) is a resource for journalists and PR practitioners to connect. After completing a rebrand and a revamp of their program, HARO’s desire was to:

  • develop a more visually appealing site that could stand toe-to-toe with their competitors;
  • present their services and audiences more clearly; and
  • build a resource that could serve as a gateway for reporters to find quality content.

 

The website content was completely rewritten and restructured to make it more user friendly. The overall structure of the site was developed to provide two “portals” for each of the target audiences, where they could quickly and easily find the information that is most applicable to them. In addition, the navigation was simplified to make it more straightforward and easier to find key information for those who are not yet familiar with the company’s services.

As a child company under Cision, the design of the site needed to fit in with the Cision brand, yet still remain distinctive. The navigation and color scheme was developed to resemble the elements we used for Cision’s new site, while still letting HARO maintain it’s own distinct identity.
